Worship is at the center of our parish life. We have two Sunday services. The 10 am Rite II Choral Eucharist in English includes music with a pipe organ, choir, and occasionally tone chimes. The Latino service, celebrated in Spanish at 10 am includes hymns from the Latino hymnbook.
Music has long been a vital part of worship at Good Shepherd/El Buen Pastor. Our music program features works which are accessible to the congregation, while contributing to spiritual growth and an enhanced worship experience. Music selected embodies the artistic integrity of the great Anglican musical tradition. Every Sunday morning a slate of volunteers works to ensure that all services and classes run smoothly. These include altar guild, acolytes, lay eucharistic ministers, teachers, ushers, greeters, lay readers, choir and other musicians. In addition to these volunteers, we are also blessed by our priests, deacons and the only licensed lay preacher in the diocese, Dr. Mark LeTourneau. |
