Good Shepherd offers the following opportunities for adults to learn more about faith.
Adult Forum
Adult Forum is offered at 9:15 a.m. on Sundays in Tuttle Hall from Labor Day to Memorial Day. This is a time when adults in the community engage in various studies both of the Bible and related topics before worship. Coffee, tea and light refreshments are available. The schedule will be posted when it is available.
EfM
Education for Ministry (EfM) is a unique four-year distance learning certificate program in theological education based upon small-group study and practice. Since its founding in 1975, this international program has assisted more than 120,000 participants in discovering and nurturing their call to Christian service. EfM helps the faithful encounter the breadth and depth of the Christian tradition and bring it into conversation with their experiences of the world as they study, worship, and engage in theological reflection together.
The program invites participants into small, mentored groups that provide the framework for understanding life and shaping actions as Christian faith is deepened. EfM seminar groups meet in local settings and online, and provide a four-year curriculum that develops a theologically informed, reflective, and articulate laity. The EfM group at the Church of the Good Shepherd meets weekly starting the beginning of September and ending in early June.
The Tuttle School
The Diocese of Utah, which is the community of all Episcopal churches in Utah, offers the Tuttle School as another way to learn and grow in faith.

Adult Confirmation Classes
For those coming from different faith traditions, Confirmation is the process of learning about Episcopalian worship, traditions and community. It can lead to a formal affiliation with the Episcopalian Church through the sacrament of Confirmation, but it can also be simply a learning process. If you are interested, please contact the Rev. Canon Mary June Nestler at [email protected].
