Worship is at the center of our parish life. Two of our three Sunday services are traditional and semi-formal, with an 8:00 Rite I service and a 10:30 Rite II Choral Eucharist with pipe organ, choir and tone chimes. The Latino service, celebrated in Spanish at 12:30, offers folk music accompanied by guitar.
Music has long been a vital part of worship at Good Shepherd. Our music program features works which are accessible to the congregation, while contributing to spiritual growth and an enhanced worship experience. Music selected embodies the artistic integrity of the great Anglican musical tradition. We are enriched by the talents of Music Director Shane Fellows, a professional organist and choir director, and Cherie Wittwer, assistant organist.
Every Sunday morning a slate of volunteers works to ensure that all services and classes run smoothly. These include altar guild, acolytes, lay eucharistic ministers, teachers, ushers, greeters, lay readers, choir and other musicians. In addition to these volunteers, we are also blessed by our priest, deacons and the only licensed lay preacher in the diocese, Dr. Mark LeTourneau.
